Good news for researchers! The first call for MNU Research Grants for this year is now open. The application form and related documents are available on the Research Centre website. An information session regarding details of the innovation grant is scheduled for Monday, 29th April 2019 at 10.30 am at the CA Auditorium.
This call is open for all staff who want to carry out research projects and for higher degrees students who want to undertake research.
Grants are awarded in three categories:
a) Small grants: up to MVR 10,000,
b) Medium grants: between MVR 10,000 and MVR 100,000,
c) Large grants: between MVR 100,000 and MVR 1,000,000.
Grants are awarded after proposals are evaluated by the Research Grants Committee against the evaluation criteria. Details about the RGC and evaluation criteria are available here.
Interested individuals are required to submit their applications to the chair of RGC before 12:00pm on 30th June. Applicants are required to also email an electronic copy of the application to firstname.lastname@example.org.
When writing up a proposal, prospective applicants are required to cover all areas of the evaluation criteria. Sample proposals and other information can be downloaded from here.
